man that chick is lost! i dont really care to read what some women who probably doesnt even live in the city (probably lives in Colombia) has to say about crime in baltimore...its hard to respect that..i think the closer you are to the essence of what your writing about the more trustworthy the material is..
on a side not: i learned an important life lesson last night...one side of York road goes to Towson, the other side goes to hell...the name changes to greenmount or somethin...is that considered east bmore??
Yep, Greenmount Ave is hell. I should know since I had the misfortune of taking the #8 bus route back when I was a freshman at Towson University in '93.
Greenmount Ave runs through both the Northern and Eastern police districts. Here's a link to the police district map:
is it me or is the architecture in that area CREEEPY...i prefer rowhouses of w baltimore, im not sure what you call the houses on greenmount, with the long stairs leading up the door...seems much darker the w baltimoe...

When I lived in Lake Walker, we used to call it the Sugar side and the $h!t side. Basically north and south of Belvedere respectively.
