Seriously?!

Says the big E, "City prosecutors in Baltimore are refusing to prosecute homicide cases that don't have the cooperation of at least two witnesses."

  1. The first time I had a Baltimore City cop refuse to write up a burglary in progress because he wanted to 'improve' his stats, I asked the same thing: "Is that legal?"

    It is.

I've been told that if I don't like it, I could either

    a) campaign for a new Mayor in a few years or
    b) move to somewhere where crime is considered important.

  2. Wouldn't c) campaign for a new State's Attorney for Baltimore City be another option? It strikes me that this policy originates from city prosecutors.

Then again, I am horrified that there has been no statement from the Mayor's office, yet.
