Oh, goodie. The guy who killed Mister George, a grandfather / Korean War vet / generally well-regarded citizen, got 30 years. It's too bad he wasn't busy doing time for his other murder conviction instead of being out on the street killing old men.
Someone on Gertrude St. in the Rosemont section of the Southwestern learned that it's probably not smart to shoot at cops.
53-year-old Russell Lockett III was attacked in Annapolis on March 15 and died two days later. His death has been ruled a homicide.
Violence in our schools? That's unpossible!
An (allegedly) drunk-ass Baltimore City employee (allegedly) stole a cab in Annapolis.
Is it defamation if I call someone a douchebag?
El Cynic notes that the story of the attack of art teacher Jolita Berry was on the "Today" show this morning. She'll also be on "Nancy Grace" tonight at 8 and 10 p.m.

that colombia murder is nuts! i know that area a little bit and at 11:30 in the morning for that to happen next to a busy street is really really really CRAZYYYY...is it me or is my whole carry a gun to protect yourself theory growing stronger by the day? lol
*BTW*
Florida just passed a law allowing gun owners to carry guns to work and leave them in the car, and also to have the right to keep a gun in your car for SELF-PROTECTION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder what kind of evidence a plaintiff would have to show to prove that your accusations of douchebagginess are false and misleading?
I recognized Jolita Berry on TV from meeting her one night a few months ago. We were at a restaurant in Charles Village and every table was taken. She invited us to join her. Funny and sweet gal. You could tell she really did care about the kids in our schools. Such a shame.
Another incident to just make Baltimore such an attractive option for jobs and for hard-working, LAW-ABIDING families.
I hope that Ms. Berry brings the biggest lawsuit ever against the Baltimore City school system. Because it's obvious that SOMEONE needs to make North Avenue aware that these hellholes need to be CLEANED UP.
Another teacher has been beat up and sent to the hospital...animals @ Mervo High
My roommate made some comments about a "riot" at school today. I'll have to get some more details when she gets back, because it sounds like the little savages are off the hook this week.
Until society, and the government that represents it,realizes that the government doesn't do a good job of raising children, disciplining children, and yes, educating children, expect this spate of violence to continue. Lawsuits will be filed, but I highly doubt they will really make teachers and administrators and safer. If I worked in some of the tougher Bmore schools, I would probably not last a week.
Bring back corporal punishment in schools. That'll help cut back on violence.
My kind of solution to crime :)

Or um... the PARENTS!!! I don't think those are really "government's" job.
