A reality check in up-and-coming Patterson Park as a police officer is shot on patrol and rushed to Shock Trauma. Apparently, there are still a few guns there, too.
Federal judge Richard Bennett has assigned the ACLU/NAACP civil rights case against the Police Department to the judge hearing the Jones case regarding detention conditions, noting a commonality of interests in the adjudication of the two cases.

I think this is total BS.When does an officer get shot and there isn't a major manhunt.I wonder if this officer accidently shot himself? Which in and of itself he would still be lucky.
I can see the park from my window. After the shooting, there was a helicopter spotlighting the park until midnight. The streets were blocked temporarily, and cops from multiple juristrictions sweeped every foot of the park.
But yeah, you rocket scientists read the examiner and the sun so I guess you can authoritatively proclaim that the police don't care about finding the perp.
Where do people go to buy drugs ???
