Once again a Maryland jury has shown itself to be weak and cowardly.
How did a federal judge become a Maryland jury? Metamorphosis?
Cham:The jury decides whether a defendant in a federal capital case gets death or not. The judge has to follow their decision.
So this was already a done deal then. Why report it?
Cham:It wasn't a done deal. The verdict was delivered several weeks ago, but there has to be a separate sentencing portion in a capital trial. The jury delivered it's decision on the sentence yesterday.
