April 2

A 16-year-old girl, Estefany Gonzalez, was shot and killed on Friday night in O'Donnell Heights.

Andre McBride was fatally shot in the head on Saturday afternoon in the 6600 block of Knottwood Ct.

David Johns has been ID'd as the man who was fatally shot early Friday morning on Noble St. in the Southeastern.

Luke Broadwater at the Examiner looks at the month in murder: we have 9 more homicides than we did at this time last year, shootings are up by 24%, and lots of innocent bystanders are getting caught up in the killings.

Gina Fowler believes that her daughter, Jill Conklin, may have been murdered. Conklin's body was found by a fisherman beneath an I-95 overpass in Linthicum.

The autopsies are complete on the four children in Frederick.

Last night, two teenagers were shot, one in the neck and one in the back, on Loyola Northway in the Northwest.

Perv of the day: former NIH researcher McClellan Walther got four years for his child porn collection.

Hmmmm... has John Galt's true identity finally been revealed?

Truth is stranger than fiction.

Now now, I'm not saying it's Galt, I'm just pointing out that there are some very significant similarities.

Personally, I prefer cyb's theory from a few months ago that Galt is Julie Bykowicz. That's some mighty fine hypothesisizin'.

I think you guys figured it out, excellent sleuthing. He owns multiple properties, that's why he's the victim of more crimes than the rest of us. I guess he got tired of you all basking in the limelight, now it's time for his 15 minutes.

"The person at the center of this election-trail controversy is David Briggs, who is facing 29 charges of housing violations for properties on Greenmount Avenue and on Keswick Road in Hampden, according to District Court records. In August, Briggs was found guilty of six housing-code violations, fined $2,500 (all but $500 suspended), and put on probation until August 2005. In March, another trial yielded probation-before-judgment on nine of the 20 housing charges he faced, $500 in fines, and probation until March 2005. And in December 2003, yet another housing-violation trial landed him $200 in fines and probation until December 2004. Briggs is the landlord for Mary Pat Clarke’s campaign headquarters at 3409 Greenmount Ave. in Waverly—one of the problem properties at issue in Briggs’ upcoming trial. For three months last summer, rent for Clarke’s headquarters was gratis—a total value of $2,250, given to her campaign as an in-kind donation.

“He is not a model property owner,” Clarke concedes, but she says she “didn’t realize all this” when she leased the property. The building served as her campaign office when she first gained a seat on the City Council in 1975, and she hoped to make it her district office should she win the election. The donated rent, she admits, “could be an appearance of a conflict of interest,” so “I paid [Briggs] back” this summer—and, she contends, aided a city housing-code lawyer in ongoing efforts to make sure a derelict Briggs property on Gorsuch Avenue is rehabbed, not demolished."

Hey Chuck, we don't have Thomas Alexander, 19-- Broadwater has him down as shot March 3. I guess I'll add him to the top?

Before the city paper article and picture I had a vision of you that somewhat resembled comic book guy from the Simpson's.

haha, i think i'm insulted!

burgersub said...

what's broadwater?

both you and i have a thomas terry, 19, shot on march 3rd. probably the same guy and either terry or alexander is a middle name and the sun just fucked it up.

taotechuck said...

Cyb, it looks like Thomas Alexander is the same person as Thomas Terry, the man who was driven up to the Hyatt on 3/3. I emailed Luke Broadwater about it, he thinks he knows what the discrepency is and is investigating Thomas' correct surname.

Ha, that's what I thought. I e-mailed him too.
Get in on it Fluffer!

I, having met galt at the rendezvous in a situation which could have resulted in several of my large male friends beating the crap out of Galt{ hey, you shoulda just introduced yourself at firast before you scared the bejesus out of me} can say that the man pictured is Galt.

Hmm... very interesting about galt.

Mr "failed-to-maintain-property" Galt!

Perhaps he's as much of the problem as the people he complains about?

Yeah, the city morgue is just full of people who died of 'rusted gutter downspout' and 'paint faded', you jackass.
