A re-arraignment in the case of allegedly demented dad Mark Castillo is scheduled for 9:30 a.m. tomorrow before the Honorable Gale E. Rasin, Room 509, Courthouse East.
How common is it for NCR defenses to actually succeed?
As for him changing his plea to guilty, why in the world would he do that? I can't imagine the State's Attorney's office accepting a sentence of anything other than life w/o parole, so it's not like Castillo has any incentive to plead guilty. If PJ let's him plead out in exchange for straight life (i.e. with the chance of parole) I swear I will go take a shit on her doorstep.

A rearraignment, I believe, usually occurs when a plea deal is being worked out, or a defendant changes his/her plea
...so I wonder if he's changed his plea to guilty?
3 shootings (including one police involved shooting) in the city last night.
Apparently, after Castillo pled not criminally responsible, the judge ordered a psychiatric evaluation, which may have led to the rearraignment.
