Yet another example of how limp-wristed the law is in Maryland. Why didn't the HoCo SA's office seek the death penalty against this piece of trash? He killed two people, so he's obviously one of the absolute worst of the worst, and at least one of the murders was a robbery-homicide which makes the defendant eligible for the death penalty. Murders are rare in Howard County, so it's not like the SA's office would've been overwhelmed by going for death in this case. Why oh why do we keep letting criminals off with half-assed sentences? Our society should feel ashamed.
Sorry ppatin, but a criminal execution in Maryland (and probably every other state) actually costs *more* than life in prison. Thirty+ years doesn't seem like a half-assed sentence to me, and I'll agree that we need to be tough on crime. Check the facts: http://www.deathpenaltyinfo.org/costs-death-penalty
This kid is worth studying, as well as that other McDonough kid who killed his mother. I'm intrigued as to why they chose to kill their parents when they became unhappy. I'm interested to know whether this phenomenon of reasonably comfortable kids from 2 parent home killing a parent(s) is on the increase and why.

I know, but that's because of a broken system of appeals that does nothing to protect the innocent, but does a great job of keeping shitbirds alive and enriching lawyers.
As for 30+ years, that little animal snuffed out the lives of FOUR people. The fact that he even has a tiny sliver of hope of someday being released is disgusting.

I don't know what bridge they found this troll under, but I wish he would go back to it.
I don't trust the government enough to murder the right guy. They get everything else wrong.

Yay, now the taxpayers get to pay to house and feed Nicholas Browning for the next five decades. Fantastic!
Imagine how much money we could save if we were allowed to simply dispose of him like the human trash he is.

You're absolutely right, let's not give the government the authority to punish criminals. That works really well in Somalia.
