Holy Crap! Mayor Indicted!

Crazy!
Even by Baltimore standards!

An extramarital affair with a big fat developer .. furs and gift cards... not classy!
The timeline does seem to establish a pattern...
Says Madam mayor, "I am confident that I will be found innocent of these charges."
(Check out these two newspaper front pages. Will be interesting to see how various outlets go about covering this major story.)

And "Killing in Southwest Baltimore brings homicide count to 12"

If the State Prosecutors Office spent as much time chasing murderers as it does chasing Sheila and Co. we wouldn't have a homicide problem.

Chasing murderers isn't the job of the state prosecutor's office. Hell, I'm almost certain that they don't have any sort of jurisdiction over violent crimes.

Shelia owes Rod Blagojevich a fruit basket. I still havent seen any mention of her in national media.

It was on Headline News at about 3:20.
Followed by Blahblahblahovitch quoting Tennyson.

The Charge of the Light Brigade? Is the moral here that we should not fight the Russians? And who will Sheila quote? Britney Spears?

"“Sometimes the questions are complicated and the answers are simple.”

Yeah, I really spoke too soon. Still a fruit basket might be nice all the same. If nothing else than for the poetry.

You all know that twelve of Baltimore’s finest jurors will walk her, probably with the help of Billy Murphy. Unfortunately this stuff is pretty small time compared to some of the real graft and influence brokering that goes on with regard to real estate development down in the city.

Still, I read the indictment and it's pretty straightforward - she definitely perjured herself for three years straight. My guess is with the gift card scheme she figured they couldn't be traced... this is so great.

I never thought of Dixon as a wicked witch. I have always thought of her as a incompetent moron.
