"Part of the Recovery and Reinvestment Act has to do with putting more police officers on the street," said Governor O'Malley

On the street or on the promenade? My gut says promenade.

This is O'Malleys piddling reward for supporting H. Clinton in the primaries.

The idiot cannot even pick the candidate that would win.

Baltimore does NOT need more cops! They need the ones they already have to finally do their jobs, so they're actually part of the solution instead of part of the problem, as they are now!

Baltimore's police are the only city agency that NEVER even comes close to completing its mission statement, yet the cowards at city hall never have the guts to ask the BPD to make drastic cuts like all the other city agencies! Closing the PAL centers is a joke! The BPD should close at least 3 precincts and the old police headquarters building! Closing 5 precincts and dividing the city into 4 quadrants is the best option! As long as the status quo exists in the BPD, the crime will only get worse, since too many cops are sitting behind desks instead of doing street patrols like real cops are supposed to do! I don't know who's the bigger bunch of clowns in Baltimore? The police or the shysters at city hall? All the cops do is show up after the fact and maybe write a report! Too little, too late!

As I've stated previously, CRIME DOES PAY!
Baltimore Jackass in the Box Police Department getting $10 million in stimuli.
NYC gets nothing.

REASON: NYC's crime rate way down; Bmore's crime rate way up.

Where would welfare bums like Dirty Debbie and Slick Sheila go without welfare/stimulus checks. It's free money.

So again, regardless of what you are hearing from the mouths of the bureaucrats THE PRESENT CRIME SITUATION HAS NETTED THEM $10,000,000 IN FREE MONEY.

WHERE IS THE ECONOMIC INCENTIVE TO REDUCE CRIME ON THE PART OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT WHEN THEY HAVE JUST BEEN REWARDED FOR THE OPPOSITE?
