Baltimore, MD – September 11, 2009 – We have received inquiries from citizens and the media asking whether the Baltimore City State’s Attorneys Office would initiate a criminal investigation for acts allegedly committed at ACORN offices located in Baltimore. The only information received in reference to this alleged criminal behavior was a YouTube video. Upon review by this office, the video appears to be incomplete. In addition, the audio portion could possibly have been obtained in violation of Maryland Law, Annotated Code of Maryland Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article §10-402, which requires two party consent. In case you're one of the five people who hasn't heard about this story, link to CNN coverage here. Latest twist, there's a second tape from the DC office, with some intriguing insights on how to set up a legal "lady of the night marketeer" consultancy.
If it is determined that the audio portion now being heard on YouTube was illegally obtained, it is also illegal under Maryland Law to willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio. The penalty for the unlawful interception, disclosure or use of it is a felony punishable up to 5 years.
It's kind of sweet, how helpful everyone is!

I'm one of those 5 people, and I intend to keep it that way. You say ACORN and my eyes roll into the back of my head.
Of course Jessamy is going to go after the white reporters instead of the black criminals. Low hanging fruit.
The tax base needs to leave this God-forsaken, blighted shithole of a city and let it rot.
They are leaving and it is rotting.
If you need two party consent to record in MD, how do the police do sting ops?
ACORN is a multi-state, criminal enterprise that should be prosecuted under the RICO statutes. Maybe that will happen after the next elections.
