All that stands between MDers and Wine.com= Joan Carter Conway, wife of a liquor board member. So douchy! Q: does the law mean MD wineries can't ship to other states also?
Her chief concern, she said, is that underage drinkers will tap the Internet for wine.
The Internet for wine?????? I can imagine groups of teen rascals deep in the woods illicitly swigging litre bottles of fine Pinot Grigio, bought with their parents' credit card and shipped via Fedex to their neighbors address. Surely this must be stopped. We're on a train straight to hell.
Nothing is going to stop kids from getting access to alcohol. Certainly impinging on our ability to be like the rest of the country won't help the situation. It's like trying to stop meth production by making us fill out forms to but sinus medicine.
