Could this really happen?

Councilman wants us, city residents, to vote for a 50 percent cut in the property tax rate

All of the homeowners would vote for it. All of the renters and people in public housing would vote against it.

The initiative would fail because there are too few of the former and too many of the latter in Baltimore.

But it is absolutely the right thing to do if we want Baltimore to ever rise above the ranking of second worst city in America (thanks to Detroit for holding the bottom spot).
