January 8

The two dead men that were found this morning at a baseball field in Baltimore County are being treated as homicide victims.

A human skeleton was found by hunters in a wooded area near Jessup on Saturday morning. Howard County police have not determined a cause of death, but they said the remains appear to be several weeks old.

The Sun has a Department of Justice report that details "serious misconduct" by the FBI in the way they investigated the death of federal prosecutor Jonathan Luna.

Only in Baltimore would I-95 be closed off because of an obstruction: body parts strewn about the interstate.

Apparently, a person (gender indeterminate at this time) was hit-and-run and then successively run over by depravedly-indifferent motorists.

Since local police will likely not get anywhere with this, maybe it can be put into the hands of the feds on the grounds that obstructive body parts on an interstate impede interstate commerce. OK, so I'm reaching.

Anyhow, when this sorta stuff happens we are definitely not in Kansas anymore, Toto.
