GBHS sophomore Christian J. Schellenschlager Jr. was arrested for killing a 49-year-old man with a bat. Schellenschlager was arrested after his mom ratted him out. So what do you think? Did his mom do the right thing? Could you rat out your kid, knowing it might mean many years in federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison?
A body that might have ties to Maryland was found in the trunk of a car in Morrisville, PA.
We can add Tony Allen to the list of dead doppelgangers in Baltimore. (The Wikipedia entry for those of you who've missed the other Tony Allen's mighty drumming skills.)
Alleged priestjacker Angelo Parker is on trial after he and his mother refused a plea deal that would have gotten him 12 years. Mama Parker says that she's leaving Angelo's fate in God's hands, which maybe isn't such a good idea for a dude who robs the clergy.
Too bad young Mr. Parker didn't go after Jeff Toohey, who was finally dismissed from the priesthood three years after pleading guilty to getting it on with a young man.
PDJ: Juan R. Payz Reyes likes 'em young and he like 'em crazy, but he likes 'em best when he gets off with a slap on the wrist.
In Annapolis, a man slammed a 14-year-old boy's head into the wall, then shot at him with what can only be described as rotten aim.
Damn, I didn't realize Queen Antoinette was in custody already! Police want no bail for her and two of her subjects, all of whom were nabbed in New York.
Carroll County hearts Oxycodone!
If I had a cheesy moustache like this dude, I probably would've turned to a life of crime too.

Broadway & Gough? Eeep, that's a little close to home for me. How much do you want to bet that the killer came from the festering abscess known as the Perkins Homes?
As for Christian Schellenschlager, yes his mother did the right thing. If one of relatives beat someone to death with a baseball bat would I turn him in? To be honest, the answer to that one depends on the victim's rap sheet.
welcome to "Bmore Citayyyyyyy" hey is it wrong to close line a teen whos riding on a dirt bike?
Chuck,
Thanks for giving me the the excuse to go on a crime spree. I can blame it all on my cheesy moustache. In addition I can blame my wife as part of the problem because the one time I shaved it off she stated "you'r not the man I married" and was so freaked out that I grew it back. Or should I shave and keep to the straight and narrow (untill my wife kicks me out)
HoCo, you could also use your fine 'stache to justify a career in gay porn or law enforcement. You know, just in case Mrs. Moustache doesn't like the idea of you becoming a criminal.
After a second look at the photo, I'm thinking the perp might be suffering from the double diagnosis of cheesy moustache AND bad '90s goatee. That's a rough hurdle to overcome.
And for what it's worth, I shaved my Unabomber/Chester-the-molester beard last week. My clean-shavedness makes me feel so... so... upstanding.
When are they going to bulldoze those Perkins Homes? Rumor has it they are slated to be demo'd beginning next year, but I see them fixing them up.....
and I bet it was an illegal. The last time there was a shooting near that area, it was at the "FP cafe" on the corner of Ann & Gough---quite awhile ago, I might add.

There was a shootout in the Perkins Homes a week or two ago, so I'm guessing that last night's murder was connected to that. Most of the illegals in Fells are pretty harmless. They'll occasionally drink too much and pass out on my street, but that's the worst I've ever seen.
rumor control question:
Did anyone see that email going around about an alleged attack in federal hill involving a car-vs-bus accident and subsequent knifing?
Smells fishy. I want to know if it is legit.
Yeah I saw the e-mail, no idea if it's legit though. You can check out the Baltimore Sun message boards for more info if you're willing to wade through all the BS and stupidity over there.
"...federal pound-me-in-the-ass prison?"
love that we're paying homage to Office Space here.
The Examiner is lowering themselves to the Suns level of journalism. They have the email posted as a rumor but haven't checked it out themselves...
Let's face it, the Examiner was never all that great. I remember the idiotic editorial they wrote after that stupid controversial Halloween party at Hopkins in 2006. That destroyed any respect I had for that paper. Publishing the salaries of every cop in the city was also pretty bad.
I was happy to see that judge Doory got the Castillo case. He doesn't seem like the sort of naive thug-hugger who'd let him get away with an insanity defense.
Meister smells a coverup.
PPatin:
You are correct about the Illegals (?). I see them passed out sometimes as well. I have a family (families?) living next to me and they're pretty quiet, clean and law abiding. (UFP'er as well)
if they would just bulldoze those Perkins Homes...They're old, ugly and dangerous.
Illegals may have problems amongst themselves (they seem to favor knives), but they are understandably reticent to get into trouble with Americanos, as responding police will either seek their ID or, if they get into jail, will be uwilling to approve bail without first IDing the inmate.
So, they tend to avoid altercations outside their community.
I would turn my kid in. How many times does this blog get on the parents of criminals who try to make excuses for their kids' crimes? Part of being a good parent is making your kids take responsibility for their actions.
