Yuck. This is a prime example of a situation where a bit of vigilantism might be justified. Residents of that neighborhood should get together and beat the hell out of a few of those creeps.

It sounds like the inmate who was beaten got what he deserved for assaulting a CO. When you have a prison filled with hundreds of violent animals the only way to keep them in line is through fear. I feel bad for the COs who lost their jobs and are facing criminal charges.
