Assault at the Crispy Bagel

The Sun reports a man shot in the arm in the parking lot of the Crispy Bagel on Franklintown Road, though the BPD reports "Investigation revealed that 230 N. Franklintown is an aggravated assault, not a shooting."

Western Correctional inmate admits to strangling his cellmate, gets another life sentence on top of his life sentence.

Spoiler alert! Stop reading if you can't handle scandalous truth! The "black-eyed Susans" at Preakness are really mums! Also, while we're at it, the USS Constellation was built in 1854, not 1797, and Phillip's crab cakes are not made of blue crab, Callinectes sapidus, but South African and South Asian species, Portunus pelagicus. You're welcome.

Ah yes, let's punish an inmate who's serving a life sentence with another life sentence. That'll really show him! That case was the perfect example of how idiotic the recently enacted restrictions on capital punishment are. The only good part of the story is that the guy he killed was also a murderer.

Phillips... Pimlico... Preakness! All fake? I will never trust the letter "P" again (I'm still trying to figure out how the Constellation fits in).

The spoiler alert was lame, I already knew all that. Tell me something I don't know. Black Eyed Susans bloom in August, it's May, yet the Preakness wants to go with the state flower. South African and South Asian crab is more plentiful, cheaper to get and can be picked by people making pennies per day. As far as the Constellation goes, it doesn't matter when it was built, I doubt there is a scrap left on that hulk from 1854 or 1797. It's made out of wood that sits in water and is exposed to the elemets, the ship has been rebuilt many times over.

The Constellation is docked in the Patapsco River Basin.
