Great line from review of "The Road" .... "Michael K. Williams has an almost unintentionally funny bit as a wary survivor — he's the same guy who played Omar in "The Wire," and you laugh when you realize he's wound up in a place worse than Baltimore."

Jury of Baltimorons

Everybody knows she stole the gift cards. She couldn't deny spending the money. She claimed it was all a mistake but she has made no offer to paid them back. Her partner in crime, Ron Lipscomb, has already agreed to a plea bargain. He even refuses to testify on her behalf.

It's simple: she spent money that she didn't earn. She's is obviously guilty. Only in retarded Baltimore would it take a jury 5 days to figure that out.

It's not so simple, you weren't in the court room and aren't on the jury. Jurors consider all sorts of factors in cases.

Anon:

That may be so, but it doesn't help the situation if the prosecution's case was less than impressive. Not calling Lipscomp certainly made me wonder what was going on.

No way they find her guilty, she's "one of them". They're eating up time because it's on the State's dime and they're getting out of work and gaining attention. I bet $100 they'll be all over the media when it's said and done seeking attention. Sheila is part of the Baltimore Machine and the Machine won't destroy it's own, no matter how disgusting the crime. (stealing from the poor is beyond low to me)
