Every time I see Julie Drake's name in the news I wonder how she gets out of bed in the morning. Prosecuting felony family violence in Baltimore? My hat goes off to her, that's got to be the most depressing job in the city.

I'm also glad that Judge Doory got this case. As a former ASA he'll probably be tough when sentencing time comes. Anything less than the maximum would be a travesty.

Julie Drake probably had a very tough job. When defendants with no formal legal training and are a bit nuts choose to defend themselves, how do you approach that? You know they are going down, but how god awful can you really make it before it turns into a public bloodbath.
