Settled

A federal discrimination lawsuit filed by Sergeant Louis Hopson against the BPD has been settled for $2.5. million. As part of the settlement police will have to hire a special civil rights consultant.

A civil rights consultant is going to be a guy who has either contributed heavily to someone's reelection campaign or has successfully gotten other people to contribute heavily to someone's reelection campaign. The job will require spending several weeks at civil rights seminars in the Caribbean and some training sessions in Maui. When not at a seminar or training the consultant will be warming a bar stool in Pigtown. The compensation will be competitive with those in its class and includes full health care and retirement after 20 package. Those that actually want to make the world a better place need not apply. Special consideration will be given to applicants with access to untraceable Best Buy gift certificates.
