JHU Homewood Campus students walk around with a big target on their back that says, "rob me". It's about time someone took matters into their own hands. Here's to vigilante justice!!!

It wasn't vigilante justice, it was self-defense.

BTW, it's crazy that the SA's office took so long to rule this incident justified. Imagine how much it must've sucked for the guy who was waiting to find out if he'd have to deal with legal threats.

Aggravated Assault – 2900 blk. N. Calvert Street 1/18/10 11:15 am
Property Taken: Kool-Aid
Suspect #1 was inside the store and was recognized as the person who committed a larceny on 1/16. The store owner attempted to detain him. Subsequently a struggle ensued with suspect #1 which went outside the store where suspect #2 swung a knife in an attempt to free suspect #1 from the store owner. Both suspects were arrested.

Aggravated Assault – 2200 blk. Saint Paul St. 1/23/10 10:30 pm
The victim and suspect were involved in an altercation, when the suspect pushed the victim through a window. The victim was injured by glass as a result of falling through the window.

An unknown suspect forced the side door of the business to gain entry. Upon entry the suspect ransacked the store and removed the listed property and fled w/ same through POE.

Burglary – 3200 blk. Guilford Ave. (even side) – On Jan 20th between 2:15 PM and 10:34 PM, two graduate students where house sitting. Both students left for work, and when they returned, they discovered that the apartment had been ransacked. The second floor windows in the rear bedroom were found open which connect directly to the fire escape. Further investigation revealed that a flat screen TV and a desktop computer were missing. Baltimore Police and Campus Officers responded. Investigation continuing.

2 ARRESTS – Attempt Armed Robbery – 300 Blk. E. 33rd St.– On Jan. 23rd at 10:42 PM, an Allied Barton patrol vehicle’s approach interrupted a gunpoint robbery attempt on three sophomore undergraduates. On seeing the patrol vehicle approaching, the two robbers fled on foot in different directions. Campus officers located one suspect and detained him. Baltimore Police pursued and apprehended the other suspect. Both suspects were positively identified and arrested. The handgun was not found on either of the suspects. A search of the area for the handgun was negative. Investigation continuing.

3 STUDENTS ARRESTED – Theft and Assault on a Police Officer – 3000 Blk. St. Paul St. – On Jan. 24th at 12:59 AM, Baltimore Police arrested three undergraduates who ran from a taxicab without paying their fare. The three students, one freshman and two sophomores, were charged with theft of services; one sophomore was charged with assault on a police officer after hitting the police officer with her shoe.

Prowler – 300 Blk. E. University Parkway (odd-numbered side) – On Jan. 22nd at 6:29 PM, an undergraduate student heard a noise and then noticed an unknown male standing on a rear 2nd floor porch. When the suspect saw he was being observed, he pulled himself up onto the roof and fled in an unknown direction. Baltimore Police and campus officers responded and searched the rooftops and area with negative results.

Wow, just wow. That is some hardcore stupidity (unless the cab driver was trying to rip them off, but the whole assault on a cop thing makes them sound like morons.)

Not really Maryland related, but domestic terrorist Scott Roeder was convicted of first degree murder for killing Dr. George Tiller.
