Back in 2005 a white man was killed by a black man who had stolen a car and was being pursued by Baltimore's finest. The white man was hit by the car and died. After the media and commenters finished discussing the story the white man was described as an innocent tourist.
However, I quickly recognized the dead white man, he was a well known local South Baltimore dopehead with a long checkered history of drug violations and various other crimes. This "tourist" was hit by the car at 5:30AM on West Frederick Road.
Beware the use of the word "tourist" when describing a crime victim.
That's a good point, one shouldn't jump to conclusions. But I work with what I get, and the reports are saying he's a tourist. If he's ever publicly identified, then we can know for sure.
