On July 17, 2006 in the 2700 block of East Monument Street the victim, Dion Williams, 15, was involved in an argument with an unknown person. Greer approached and began to argue with the Williams as well. During the course of the argument Greer withdrew a firearm and shot Williams three times. Investigation led to witnesses identifying Greer and he confessed to the shooting.
Wanye Hill, alleged leader of the "Black Ninjas, " was arrested last week. The gang was allegdly involved with burglaries in the Homeland area. Hill was charged with assaulting a police officer.
