June 21

A 24-year-old man was shot and killed right after midnight as he was driving on Ellerslie Avenue in Worser Waverly.

State police found a body in the trunk of a burning car on a BW Parkway off-ramp at about 6:30 last night.

Wrong Trousers DayOnly in Baltimore folks!
The Police Department is running out of trousers!

A 21-year-old was shot in the foot, and many teenage would-be shoplifters in the Blotter.

A Rodericks reader flees Charles Village after experiencing some of the many burglaries, syringes, stabbings and shootings the neighborhood has to offer.

The city's fifth fatal police shooting of '07 was Devine Moore, 23, in Berea.

For the guy who asked about police scanners: forget about the pro-97 if you want to listen to city cops. They use a digital system, and a scanner than can handle that will run you at least four or five hundred bucks. A regular trunking scanner will get you fire and EMS radios, but no police traffic.

Kim Martin is sooooo on track about living in Baltimore. Thank you, Dan Rodricks.

And a new $150,000,000 Trolley to Whitebread won't fix that.

Better idea: Greenmount already has paved-over trolley tracks. No grading necessary. Run it up Greenmount and use the $150,000,000 to police the area instead!

The few blocks Charles Villagers have to walk across to the trolley are good for them. It's aerobic.

When I went in for jury duty a couple weeks ago I went through juror questioning on one case. I didn't end up getting picked, but I was curious what happened to the guy. Today I checked out MD Judiciary Case search, and saw yet another fine example of revolving door justice. This punk who already had multiple convictions was charged with first degree assault, carrying a handgun, and use of a gun in committing a crime. He ended up pleading guilty to second degree assault & got six months! Since he's been locked up since mid-December he gets credit for time served, and is now a free man. Unbelievable.

I want to say "Good Job" to those two undercover police officers who took down Moore. When his mother described Moore as "happy-go-lucky" and "a young adult trying to find his way", I think she confusing her once sweet, innocent little boy with the thug he oblivously turned into, but I would probable do the same.

His fiance said Moore used to do part time general contracting jobs for her, seems a little strange. Why couldn't he work for time?
