“Baby girl, I’ll bring my hose out front so you can spray it off. ”
... Anger Hangover reports on a girl shot in the leg last Friday night in Pigtown. Plus an update.
Capt'n Mike Perry hovers above where a four-year-old was shot in the leg and police are seeking a suspect around the 2200 block of Corona Court near the NE county line.
A 30-year-old man was fatally shot and died at 12:33 this morning in the 1700 block of E. 30 St. in the Coldstream-Homestead-Montebello ("CHUM") neighborhood.
Police and family fear that Shirley Cooper (who, they say, was 72, not 78, and lived "in the historic Temple Gardens apartment building at 2601 Madison Avenue," not Madison Street) was stabbed to death by someone she knew.
Blotterania:
- "Police identified yesterday John Drew, 26, of the 2400 block of W. Lexington St., as the man shot about 1 a.m. May 30 near his home by an unknown gunman."
- A Dundalker was stabbed in the stomach
- County drunks assaulted an officer at Mother's Grille
- A 14-year-old boy was hit on the head with a bottle ...and lots of robbery, burglary and theft

Interesting post from a Pigtown blogger about a shooting outside her door last Friday night. I'm interested in the stats, but occasional personal posts like this remind me of the reality on Baltimore streets.
do you know anything about what happened at the corner of St. Paul & I think 20th St this past Sunday? I was driving down & one block north of North Ave, I saw police cars, caution tape, a bike on the ground and what appeared to be a blood pool. Today, I saw a bouquet of flowers at that same site.
As in, two weeks ago? That would probably be the murder of Adrian Smith on 5/22/07.
That 4-year-old must have been slingin'. After all,
"Baltimore is becoming an increasingly safer city for law-abiding citizens but has become an increasingly dangerous city for those that live outside the law," Jablow said. "We see it over and over with our homicide victims and suspects: They're people who've been arrested, five, 10, 15 times. We have to get these people off the streets for longer periods of time."
Scooter didn't "out" anyone, he committed perjury to federal investigators, the same thing Clinton and Martha Stewart did.
It's amazing though, he'll do more time than most of those convicted of attempted murder, sexual assualt, or armed robbery here in Baltimore.
No, this was just this past Sunday - June 3rd.
More bloodstained sidewalks in South Charles Village. It's starting to feel like old times again.
Once again I went to jury duty and wasn't picked to serve on a jury. I don't really mind being called up, but the way they waste your time and make you sit around for hours doing nothing is really obnoxious.
As I was saying,... about increasing bloodshed in Charles Village.
