17yo Darius Cox was shot and killed on Saturday night. Not that he's worth feeling very sorry for...

"On May 30, Cox was convicted as an adult of assault and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. But the judge suspended all but nine years and 11 months, effectively meaning Cox served the time he spent waiting for trial."

How ironic that if he'd been given a real sentence for his crime it might have saved his life.

Thanks much ... I'm going to be in Cambodia for five months b/c my husband has a Fulbright to teach there. The Sun is letting me take a leave starting in Sept. and I'll come back in Feb
