It's Stop Snitching 2!

Just in time for Christmas! Says the DVD's site, Stop Snitching 2
The highly controversial “Stop Snitching” DVD gained national attention and multimedia coverage raising the bar for what is considered real in urban America. Fearing their message was too powerful Baltimore City and Maryland State officials attempted to pass legislation to prevent the filmmakers from producing a sequel but to no avail Producer Rodney Bethea and Host Skinny Suge bring you “Stop Snitching” Part 2 and continue to show the reality of hard times on hard streets.

Learn the truth behind the rumors of the first “Stop Snitching” DVD. Find out the real story behind who was arrested and why? The role the media played spreading lies and what they didn’t want you to know!
... and local media and the mayor are giving them plenty of free press!
UPDATE: More from the Sun.
QTD: "Jessamy said she is a bit flattered by the mention of her name in the sequel, attached as it is to some salty language."
Hope this one has subtitles knowhatimsayin?

"The small portion of the DVD we've seen so far makes it pretty clear that these are not people with the best interests of the community at heart"

Understatement of the year!

First of all I am young black college educated and have a nice net worth. However, I was also a victim of this corrupt city judicial system. Not even one apology formn your pompous States Attorney office nor the Baltimore CIty Police department. But yet they love to send me jury summons ? Why I dont know as I will never side with this judicial system as it is corrupt and hates to admit to its mistakes. Now , in regards to these youths I more than understand . IT is their voice let them speak as this city has and continues to fail these youths. Lack of education is the new form of slavery and this time we have these " Black Puppets' as the Whippers.. Do you really think Sheila Dixon cares as she continues to allow these builders to come into these communtiies redevelop and use boys from the county? What about training and giving jobs to the guys here in the city.. maybe that could give them something to live for. But no.. they just want to continue to hide the truth to the world that already really knows what is going on as everyone thinks Baltimroe City is the wire everywhere.. The city coninues to rob the citizens that are left with outrageous property taxes so that they can continue to pay people like Councilman Kenneth Harris $52,000 in addition to his full time job in which he makes over $100,000, but yet the average salary for Baltimore City residents is barely $23,000. Where is the city interest in the community? Or how about paying the new police commander $191,000 plus whether or not his contract is terminated? But yet the actual murders solved here is less than the nation average? I dont think " Stop Snitching" is part of the problem more than the corruption in this city. Rest assured I have seen it on both sides. If people felt protected by their police department and etc.. instead of them being in with the element maybe more people would come forward.. You cant have justice with people that are not just... If this city wants to really solve the problem maybe these " Black Puppets" should stop and listen instead of just trying to push the people away into the counties..

It seems all too convenient to lay blame on a system such as the city. The same thing occurs regarding our president (there is more to our issues than just him) in regard to the United State's deplored foreign policy and neglect for its underprivileged citizens. It's called a scapegoat and it makes our lives easier to always lay blame on one particular entity and say there… there is the problem. When the truth is, the problem resides in all of us… in the way we live. Where people believe a degree and "a nice net worth" in some way makes them righteous members of society able to say who is wrong. Nobody takes personal responsibility for anything anymore. What if the problems in our lives are simply a manifestation of the way we live where there is segregation, a great deal selfish ego driven motivation, a loss of community, a devaluing of the things that truly matter in the pursuit of material wealth, fear of interacting, of each other, of change, of uncertainty… etc. And yet we continue on believing that we should defend this way of life and eventually everything will be okay in our little worlds. Maybe we need to rethink the way we view the world and our lives in it. Stop laying blame and look for change within the only thing we have control over, ourselves. Recognize and teach the beauty of life in all its forms before we decided to pave over the only truth that we have to create a fictional world of commerce, capitalism, guns, power, control, and exploitation. Rethink progress. Rethink what it means to be human. Rethink what it means to be civilized. That video is basically sensationalism of a problem to gain personal wealth, which in turn is used by other media outlets to grab attention. With the way we live would you expect anything else from the individuals that are on the tape. In a world where it pays to gratify the self at the expense of other living things (including humans) in an endless pursuit for comfort and security, people will naturally begin to only care about themselves. Some do it with a gun, some do it by walling themselves up in a mansion with four cars, others do it by just cutting others off in traffic so they can get nowhere faster than everyone else. When the majority of us neglect each other to help ourselves we end up with just what you see on that video tape. Hate and a lack of caring for everything including their own life. Life is what it is and there really is no one to blame, but ourselves.

Sorry, but crappy city government is not an excuse for "Stop Snitching" and similar nonsense. Don't get me wrong, I'd love to see the city's entire political establishment lined up against a wall and executed by firing squad (ever seen those "this city needs a hug" stickers? I want some that say "this city needs an enema") however criminals are scum who should be locked up regardless of how big an idiot the mayor is.

Oh, and enough of this "the city needs to hand out training and jobs".

Training is available. It costs money. It makes a good investment if you're serious, a bad one if you're not.

Jobs are not gifts; they are an opportunity to perform. Those who drop the ball deserve to be let go.

We don't need more Rec Centers; the current ones are underutilized.

The young males in this town need to get with the program. A hand up? Yes. A handout? No.

As for the criminal option, it's no option. You get a boot in the ass if you try it. Period.

And, yes, the police here could use some fixing, too, but that's no excuse for criminality.

I, for one, think most of the young criminal population needs to be fixed permanently - which is to say sterilized.

One generation of imbeciles is enough.

The producer Rodney Bethea says he is tyring to expose the social conidtions in this DVD. I for one am glad he is doing society a service in doing so. He said "They're closing schools and building juvenile jails".

The problem is that we need to build more juvenile jails. The 95% of us that make up society by working day in and day out for 50 years of our lives are being to nice to these juvenile deliquents for there own good, and societies own good.

Sound cruel? In the short term view yes. But long term, no. Life expenctancy is 70 years these days, so get the bad kids away from there self centered "parent" for a couple years when there young, and perhaps they won't have to spend 30 years in a cage later in life. My heart is sickened when I hear stories about the chaos in some of these bad schools, and the inevitable street thugs that will be produced.
