I think we should just ban white Crown Victorias. First there was the white Crown Vic that crashed into the crowd at that PG street race, and now this. Call your city councilperson and see if you can get this started.
Anna Sowers plans to sue Zach's attackers. I hope she wins, even though it's just a gesture.
"The details of the suit have not been disclosed. Anna believes the civil litigation will give her some sort of power from the tragedy. She says she is still disgusted that the four defendants will eventually get out of prison. Anna doesn't believe 8 years of prison (which is what she figures they will serve) will rehabilitate them and make Baltimore safer as a result.
"They are evil kids," says Sowers.
She is also realistic about how much of a settlement she would receive. "I won't see a penny, realistically. But it's still something I want to do. The lawyer knows he will not make money on this. I will not make money on this. But it is something we have to do," says Sowers. Anna says the attorney will handle the case on a pro-bono basis.
But if she is successful she hopes the terms would include garnishing whatever money the four would come into the future for her."
