Bang, bang, bang. Bang.

A triple last night in the 1600 block of East Federal Street. Everybody lived!

A 15-year-old was shot in the ankle yesterday in Govans.

As galt reported in comments, attempted murderer Calvin Boswell was released from jail by accident, a day after his conviction!

WTF?! "At least four people were injured in a brawl involving golf clubs and baseball bats at an Abingdon elementary school Wednesday night."

Why is it that this guy was convicted in April and we are just now learning that he was wrongly released. Last time I checked it was July 4th.

good point. so they didn't realize he was gone for two months, which is sorry enough... but when they figured out he was missing on June 23rd, why did it take them 10 days to tell anyone?

... and why not put it on the police web site? Isn't getting out urgent information the whole point of having a web site? He's out on the loose and there's not even a picture of him anywhere.

More shootings last night and the crime problem very clearly is a function of (not) deploying enough manpower.

"According to authorities, a dispute festered Tuesday and the parties agreed to meet at the school to fight. Investigators have ruled out gang or drug activity. When a group of people arrived at the school, they began assaulting individuals with baseball bats and golf clubs."

Police are on the lookout for golf club carrying, madras shirt wearing Robert "Bob" Shelton, his girlfriend Sherri "Cherri" Valance, Randy Adderson and his girlfriend Marcia. Also wanted for questioning are baseball bat carrying, leather jacket wearing Michael "Ponyboy" Curtis, John "Johnnycake" Cade, Dallas "Dally" Watson, and Keith "Two-bit" Mathews who may be hiding out in a burning barn.

Police-involved shooting early this morning at a Union Hall following a July 4th event. Two are dead.

And police bust an 'Art Institute' on Belair Road in Belair-Edison for dealing Pot, rather than pottery.

And here are two more dead (but not necessarily murdered) people in the Inner Harbor.

Apparently, the incident at the rented Union Hall resulted in a whole bunch of arrests for handgun possession among the guests.

Anyone who thinks police have made a dent in handgun prevalence in this town is kinda lost.

This is a very, very dangerous city which continues to be largely populated by very, very hazardous people.
