The crappy economy is making it tougher for sperminators to make child support payments, and the city is grappling with what to do with crazy, drug-addicted "parents."

The Sun reports on high crime in Northeast Baltimore.

So, let's do some... what else? .... math.

A 4% bump up in 3,900 robberies (and a similar one in 7,400 burglaries) citywide would be about +160 and +296 incidents, respectively.

A 16% decrease in 900-odd shootings would be about -145 incidents and a 29% drop in 300 homicides would be -90.

That means we're up +225 on the whole. (I don't have good #s for non-gun aggravated assaults, which I believe are up.)

From the Blotter, if your walking around North Charles Village late at night, try to avoid guys with boxcutters.

The Examiner reports that arrests are down.

However, it fails to note that the percentage of arrests uncharged remains about the same, which means the quality is no better. We're just doing less enforcement.

Thanks, Sheila.

No comments on the irresponsible asshole whining about how hard it is to make child support payments to the three baby mamas of his four children?

What if the government offers to pay 50% of your child support if you agree to a vasectomy after your second child? It will save the taxpayers a lot of money in the long run.
