Two years for kidnapping, torture of teens

Luke blogged this already, but did you catch it? "Two of the five men accused of kidnapping two teenagers from a bus stop and torturing them in an attempt to elicit information about a stolen PlayStation game console pleaded guilty to second-degree assault Monday and were sentenced to two years in prison."

Bealefeld: "... if it happened in a white neighborhood in any other community in this state, we'd still be talking about it, and people would be talking about life sentences"

The state of Missouri carried out its first execution in nearly four years yesterday night. It's time for our governor to do his job and get the lethal chemicals flowing in Maryland again. We've got four pieces of human garbage on death row who have exhausted their appeals and should die.

Bealefeld is right. If these kids were middle class and/or white, people'd be screaming to lock up the perps and throw away the key.

It disgusts me how so many define "urban poor" as "disposable people."

Yeah, that must explain why the punks who attacked Zach Sowers got such tough sentences. Oh, wait...

Leeander Blake's lawyers were before the Federal Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit appealing his conviction for the murder of Straughan Lee Griffin.

This appeal shows how meaningless Blake's expressions of "remorse" after the trial were. He doesn't feel guilty, and he doesn't care about the hell that he's putting his victim's family through. The only regret he feels is over the fact that he's been caged like the animal he is.

Zach Sowers was walking home alone, drunk off his butt. That isn't safe anywhere.

You're full of shit. Do you have anything to back up your claim that he was "drunk off his butt?"
