For some reason this makes me think of the very first episode of Homicide where they find the dirty old man strangled by the male prostitute in a sleazy motel on Rt. 40...
Hector Jose Posada beat murder charges because one witness against him was deported and two others disappeared. Anyone want to guess what Posada's immigration status is? The Sun didn't feel the need to mention it until the last paragraph.
Not a Maryland story, but in Alabama Thomas Whisehant was executed for rape and murder 33 years after he killed his victim. Our legal system is broken.
A decade in federal prison for these two hoodlums who were convicted of carjacking. Federal time means no parole, so they'll have to serve at least 85% of their sentences :)
