a friend of mine was also burgled yesterday in Endor Gadrens-- had her door kicked in in the middle of the day; thieves took her kids' Christmas presents. Sigh.

WTC incident? Still suspicious??? Seems to me we should be able to resolve these type issue within a few days, not months.

I have a VERY hard time believing any statistical information emenating from any source in Baltimore. It is historically obvious even to the uneducated eye that it is warped to achieve political expediency.
well, skepticism is good, and I have rafts of it, but there are a few good reasons to believe that the homicide rate is really down, namely non-fatal shootings are down too (and this number is independently verified with emergency-room data), and so are unclassified deaths (154 this year, vs. numbers in the 300s a few years ago).
