Elicott City "mom" Joaquinia LaJeuness pleaded guilty to injuring her murdered son
What the?! A HarfCo officer suffered a fatal heart attack while attending another officer's funeral, and his was the fourth law-enforcement death in a week up there.
In tort world, the Maryland Small Arms Range in Upper Marlboro is being sued by one Derrick Hunter, who's cheesed by the discrimination of the range's "ladies' day." Hunter and his lawyer have also sued a nail salon that charged him $4 more for a manicure and pedicure. (Hullo, there's no such thing as 'reverse sexism' -- it's just sexism.) Here's hoping they'll also go after hairstylists like the Chop Shop that charge $16 for a guy's haircut and $50 for a woman's, and local dry cleaners that charge more than twice as much to clean a woman's shirt than a man's.
Ps. I see we have a new advertiser, "Concealed Carry Magazine." I guess it's nice that niche publications are still finding a way in our digital world?

Concealed Carry Magazine advertizing on "Baltimore Crime" blog is like Levi's and Arrow advertizing at a Nudist Colony.
Although I'm thrilled that they are reaching out to the oppressed population of MD, and perhaps trying to change some minds in this god-forsaken state, the fact remains that there are fewer than 200 "unrestricted" carry permits currently issued in MD for "self defense".
The only people who get permits in MD are the wealthy an the well-connected--ESPECIALY if they are vocally and vehemently anti 2A for the rest of us.
People like Senator Brian Frosh, Babs Mikulski and the Conaway family have permits, and have all spent their entire career working to keep the rest of us from exercising our fundamental human right to self-defense while THEY walk around strapped.
Just sayin'...
Bwah, Levi's at a nudist colony.
Yes, fewer than 200 currently issued, but all of that is going to change in the very near future-- Woollard v Gallagher, which overturned our concealed-carry laws, has been granted a stay and is getting argued at the 4th circuit on October 24. Odds are really, really good that by early November you'll be able to tote around a piece on your person without needing to demonstrate a reason. ... and I'll make a bet with you, non, after concealed carry is legal, if the first person shot with a concealed, legal out-of-the-house weapon is a criminal, I'll buy you a beer. If it's someone not in the act of committing a crime-- kid, bystander, victim of road rage etc-- you can buy me one. Or a coffee. Gotta stay trim for the nudist colony.
And of course just bc I think concealed carry is a stupid idea doesn't mean my readers aren't a buncha Yosemite Sams.
In your honor I have created a poll.
