Perv du jour: Robert Bower Reeves got six years on federal charges of possessing child porn. He still faces state charges for allegedly molesting a 12-year-old girl.
Turns out that Troy Gross, the guy who got shot by a retired cop while robbing the Wachovia Bank on Northern Parkway in February, was a witness in the trial of Corey McMillon. McMillon was facing murder charges in the Remington group home killing from last year, but now those charges are dropped. McMillon, however, is still serving life for another murder.
Speaking of bank robbers, Robert Nathaniel Brown got 11+ years for a September bank robbery. Brown was caught after leaving behind an envelope with his fingerprints on it.
Former gun dealer and 2nd Amendment activist Sanford Abrams is being charged with multiple firearms violations.
Doc Cheatham is writing a letter to the FBI to tell them he disagrees with their findings on Robert Clay.

What is the point at calling Sanford Abrams a 2nd Amendment rights activist? His history of being a firearms dealer already indicates that. Would a liquor store owner be referred as an anti-prohabition activist or a tobacco shopkeeper be labeled as a smoking rights activist?
Just because something is your job doesn't mean you're an activist. My job deals with computers, but I'm not an active member of any organizations like W3C or EFF. And I know many small business owners who are only actively interested in one thing, and that's making a profit.
When WBAL calls Abrams an activist, however, I wonder if there's any substance to that claim. Lobbying Congress is very different than selling guns illegally to make a quick buck.
Is there a politically driven issues about computers? Except for 1st Amendment rights there isn't one I can think of. Guns are a hot button issue right now, like smoking and alcohol, but owning a computer is not. My take is using the headline like "2nd Amendment Rights Activist" and labeling it to a criminal.
I haven't seen any drug dealers referred to as "Drug Legalization Activist", yet I'm pretty sure they support the activities of "Change the Climate, Inc".
