Atty Stanley Needleman was more than "charged". He pleaded guilty & consented to disbarment, as well as to pay $1.15 mill restitution. You can bet if he's so easily willing to give up his
law license & pay that much $ back, the tax evasion & unreported cash found in his safe were tip of massive iceberg. And to that end, I'm guessing there are some other local criminal defense attorneys verrrry nervous about now. But, much more bizarre than his white collar crimes, is the fact that Needleman still faces a charge for petty theft in Baltimore County. He allegedly stole a book from a courtroom & lied about it but the courtroom videotape caught him red handed! All this, and he'll likely retire from law, serve no jail time, and live the rest of his life off the years of uncovered, undisclosed millions in cash he's stashed...And justice for all!

Anon: I posted that link shortly before Needleman's plea deal was announced. And yes, I agree it's disgusting that he got off with a slap on the wrist. I shudder to think what the IRS would do to me if I cheated them out of hundreds of thousands of dollars. Then again, I'm not a member of (as Jimmy McNulty put it) their twisted little tribe.
