The statements of murdered witness Carl Lackl will be admissible in the murder trial of Patrick Byers and his three hoodlum associates. The Feds are seeking the death penalty against Byers for ordering Lackl's death.

There is of course the usual whining and sniveling from Byers's slimeball attorney:

"Byers’ attorney, William Purpura, said he expected the ruling.

“We understand the right of confrontation is lost,” he said."

Thanks to your shitbird client Carl Lackl lost his right to be alive! Cry me a river you loathsome, thug-loving parasite on society.

By the way, I don't know if anyone was following this story, but shortly before Christmas a jury of 12 New Hampshire citizens sentenced cop-killer Michael Addison to die for murdering Manchester police officer Michael Briggs. This is the first time in 49 years that someone has been sentenced to death in New Hampshire. It's nice to see that some states are headed in the right direction when it comes to punishing hoodlums.

ppatin... do your homework: Capital punishment does NOT deter murder. Period. It's not the "right direction" ... unless of course you believe it to be punishment that doesn't effect deterrence.

BTW... in counter to what will come as the "These studies show it does have an effect" READ this by the Columbia Law School - hardly the most liberal think tank going in law that shows the flaws in recent studies that are uncritically praised by the media etc.:
