Experience has shown that store employees who open up are among the most at risk of retail employees, and a long history of victims comes to mind.

Some thugs figure this will be a good time to hit, because people are more alert and ready at the end of the store day.

This guy won't worry about it anymore.

Marci---thanks for keeping this blog going. A one stop place for all the news for us who want to keep up with what's going on in crime, and not from just one source.

Happy New Year to you and to: ppatin, taotechuck, Cham, Bmore, Mel, and Carol Ott, and I'm sure Sebastian is out on patrol.

Thanks, happy New Years to you as well. I was out of the country for a couple of weeks, and I'm curious to see how much hoodlumery took place in my absence.

Other than the reduction in murders and nonfatal shootings, things are pretty much the same. Please read Justin Fenton's end-of-year story in yesterday's Sun about the situation. Buz, your most humble consultant, is quoted a tad.
