Prosecutors say Karla Porter
could face the death penalty.. though it doesn't sound like
her case would meet the new legal requirements, unless there's a videotaped confession we don't know about (and contract killings are eligible).
Porter's lawyers say her representation will include "
at the very least a battered-spouse syndrome defense."
Don't miss those mugshots.

Joe Vallario's behavior is apparently as ugly as his face.
It would be a little lame if the triggerman in the Porter case was DP eligible but the woman who ordered the hit wasn't just because of the stupid evidence requirements. Considering how dumb everyone involved in this plot was I'd be surprised if the gunman didn't leave some physical evidence behind. Regardless, this shows how asinine last year's restrictions were.
Baltimore County always video records their statements.
Battered spouse, my ass. She should get the death penalty automatically for even attempting to go there.
Sounds like Nicholas Browning's BS accusations of abuse after he slaughtered his family. Lawyers who knowingly spread lies like that should be disbarred.
